A Trip and Some Cakes
This weekend Nate, Blake, and I were so blessed to be able to travel to visit our friends Tracey, Greg, Megan, and Emily. These are friends we hadn't seen in such a long time, and it was wonderful to be able to hang out with them this weekend.
On the trip down we had the pleasure of traveling through central Iowa, where the power companies use the product that Nate works on. While we were driving down the highway, Nate was excited to have his picture taken with one of the substations that he's pretty sure has the product in use.
I was excited to be able to work on two cakes for this weekend. The first was in honor of Tracey's birthday, and the second was in honor of Donna's birthday (Blake's Grandma Z!). On CakeCentral I found the idea to use the cookie sticks on the outside of the cakes- and it was neat how each cake got a slightly different look. I'm pleased with how they turned out. Enjoy!
