Grandpa's Cake

Here's a picture of the cake we had last weekend in honor of my grandpa's birthday. It's just your basic devil's food box mix with plain white vanilla buttercream. It has basket weave on the sides and rosettes on the top, as that's what I was teaching while I decorated it. ;)

I post this picture because it's the first time I've actually been ok with how my unplanned freehand writing turned out on the top of a cake. (Although, it says "dad" because I didn't leave myself enough room to write "grandpa"...lol.)
