Garden: Week 1!

Friends, we're back at it!  We made a trip out to the garden after school today, since the sun was shining so beautifully!

Per tradition, each kid got to choose one flower to plant and take care of.  Camille chose pansies, Abby chose cosmos, and Blake decided he'd rather have a vegetable this year (Big Boy tomatoes).  The kids were completely in charge of planting their plants (Blake helped Abby with hers), successfully distracting them from what Mommy was doing...for a little while, at least.

So there you have it.  Nate was able to reserve us an entire "square" this year, since there wasn't high enough demand.  I'm so excited!
