Quiet.
Friends, right now my house is quiet.
One kid is typing a "book" on the computer.
One kid is doing homework.
One kid is reading a book.
No music is playing, no cat is meowing, no phone is beeping.
And I sigh. And I smile.
Because it's more than just my house that's quiet. My brain is quiet, and my heart is quiet.
And I am thankful.
Because I was able to strike a better balance this week. Sometimes we forget how important that is, and we get caught up in the whirlwind of keeping up.
But if I could encourage you today, I would say this:
Stop. Pray. What's really necessary? What needs to change?
And then stop. And pray.
And make those changes.
