12 years? Really!?!

In a couple of weeks I'll start up the Spanish teaching again.  This year I'll be teaching grades 3-8, an age group that I haven't tackled in 12 years.

12 years?  

I'm tired today, so I checked the math four times.

Yes.  2004 to 2016 is 12 years.

How is it possible that I finished an adult, college-education-necessary job 12 years ago?

Alas.  Sunrise, sunset.
