Memory Quilts.
I've had it. I can't take it anymore.
What you need to know is that when I create something for someone (especially if it's a gift or if it's commissioned), I work REALLY hard to present it to the recipient first- before I plaster it all over the interwebZ....but extenuating circumstances are preventing that from happening this time.
And this time I am BURSTING at the seams wanting to blog about these quilts. I absolutely cannot hold it in ONE MORE SECOND because I love them so much.
For the past three months I've been working on a series of memory quilts for a friend who lost her father a few years ago. It was her desire to have his clothing (mostly shirts, a few pairs of shorts) made into quilts for herself, her aunts, and her sisters.
It was an honor an a privilege to create these quilts. I hope that they'll be full of great memories for the recipients.
The pattern inspiration was taken from the book Growing Up Modern by Allison Harris (CluckCluckSew). I love her stuff. :)
