Nate and Ralphio.

Last week Nate celebrated his birthday, and true to form, he chose something "black forest" related for his cake.  His choice this year?  A Black Forest Cupcake recipe that I came across, from the same lady who wrote the recipe for The Best Cupcakes I've Ever Eaten Ever.

Everything went perfectly until I tried to feed these to our kids and my family bluntly reminded me that liqueur does, in fact, have liquor in it.  Ha.  How did I miss that?

Anyway, Nate loved them and the kids looked longingly at them and ate half of the jar of maraschino cherries I gave them as a consolation dessert.
