Alex's Laval Cake.

This weekend I got to gift our nephew with a cake for his 10th birthday.  He chose Laval, a character from LEGO's Chima series.  (It's always neat learning about our nephews' and niece's interests...)

The cake was an almond cake made from this recipe.  It was really tasty!  An interesting note about this cake is that the entire recipe is put together in the food processor.

I used this recipe for raspberry filling.  Yum!
