Doll quilts.

A friend gifted me with some fabric that had been from her mother and grandmother.  I really wanted to do something to thank her for such a neat gift, but I hadn't had a chance until recently.

Here's what I came up with- two little doll quilts that use the exact same fabrics, but came together very differently- on one I put sashing between the rows, and on the other I added it on the ends. After I added the binding it completely changed the look of the little quilts again.

 

 

Both quilts were backed in the strawberry fabric.  So cute!

And, because you know I can't resist a folded binding pic...

So fun.

Now hopefully there will be two little girls with cozy warm dolls for the rest of the winter.
