Quilt Camp.

Fabulous, I tell you.  Simply fabulous.

I sewed more and laughed more than I have for a long time.  And I'm pretty sure I'm not afraid of getting grey hair anymore.  I met a lot of very cool people with grey hair.

I could babble on and on, but I'll spare you the words and give you some pictures instead.  :)

Can a person ever have too many lake pictures?

I finished the tops for two table runners.

I finished one set of place mats and finished the tops for a second set.

I put the top together for a wall hanging.  There were some wonderful ladies who spent a very long time helping me reposition these blocks over and over (and over and over) again until we were pretty much satisfied.  Either that, or they got sick of it and reassured me that it looked ok just so we could be done. Somehow my mom managed to make herself scarce during this process.  Funny coincidence, huh?

I got to go for a beautiful run while I was there- I just wish these phone pictures did nature more justice.

Nobody told me that there would be quilt fairies at camp, but there were.  Multiple quilt fairies visited while we were sleeping and left gifts at our sewing machines.  (I almost considered taking naps to see if I could get them to visit again.  Hehe.)   At any rate, one of the quilt fairies left a box of  2" squares.  I used up mayyyybe 1/4 of the box to make a table runner top.

I also managed to put a couple of other kits together over the course of the weekend.  I'm telling you, people.  I was a sewing machine.

Can't wait until next year.  :)
