Pretty.

I rescued this peony bush from death row a few years ago.  (Bummer...can't find a post where I talked about it.)

It's been so fun to watch it grow little by little.  At first I wasn't sure it would take, but it is slowly expanding, and each year I get a few more blooms.

And finally, this morning, was the day that the blooms burst open.

And I think they're so beautiful.
