A placemat present.

You see, when you need to give someone a gift, that gift gives you a fabulous excuse to sew.  So that's what I've been up to lately...spending the girls' nap times sewing (ahem...rather than blogging regularly).

I finally got these place mats done, and while they aren't perfect, I'm still pretty proud of them.  I made them using a pattern I came up with myself, from fabrics that I had in my "stash" downstairs.  And I'm pretty sure that Fall is one of my favorite seasons to sew.  :)
