The way it's supposed to be...I think.

Somehow in four years we've accumulated a collection of strollers.  They take up a lot of room in our small garage, but I'm not willing to get rid of any of them- they each serve a distinct purpose...trust me.

Well, we recently added yet another stroller to our already-packed garage.  We got a single jogging stroller.  A single jogging stroller makes it much easier for me to take just one kid out with me on Saturday mornings (yup, I do get some strange looks if I take only one kid in the double jogger...no, thank you, i did not lose one child along the way...), annnnnd it makes it possible for us to take all three kids out for a jog at the same time.

Yup, the entire Z-fam can jog (or ride) together.  I think this is my favorite...especially since I, of course, am the more delicate of the genders, and my big, strong husband volunteers to take the double stroller.  :)  (Now, if I could just convince him that Abby should be the one to ride in the single stroller...) (Actually, if Blake is in the single stroller, it works out quite well... 1 Abby + 1 Camille = 1 Blake)  (OK.  Enough with the parenthetical stuff...)

Last week we were able to go out on a jog after supper, and the kids got it in their heads that we should "turn on the turbo."  Daddy took off.  Mommy had to rush to keep up and win, naturally.  Later, it was decided that Mommy needed to turn on the turbo.  Daddy was quick to rise to the challenge.  (Daddy's also a much stronger runner than Mommy, and can do circles in the street while Mommy struggles to keep up.  sigh.)

Not too much farther down the road and for some reason the turbos broke. ;) The kids were disappointed that they couldn't get them fixed.  Mommy was just happy to keep upright.  Ha.

At any rate, this is where I'm going:  We. Had. Fun.

Shouldn't that really be the point?  Isn't that what I'm supposed to learn through all of this?

We were out, we were moving, we were playing, and we were raising our heart rates (and hopefully burning some calories) at the same time.  It wasn't just 30 minutes on the treadmill at a certain incline and a certain fixed speed.

Where did I miss this in elementary school?  Why am I just learning this now?

Watch out people.  I think I'm going to have to become a gym teacher...
