Camille's birthday cake

When asked what type of cake she wanted, this daughter of ours changed her mind multiple times each day...every day.

We finally settled on a butterfly cake.  I'm pretty happy with how it turned out.

This cake was completed during what I'm pretty sure was the most perfect naptime ever given.  Ever.  :)  Usually the kids don't nap on days I have cakes... 

The cake is covered with fondant and fondant accents (with the exception of the white dots-- they're nonpareils).  The body is gum paste dusted with pearl dust.
